What does Best Odds Guaranteed mean?

Whenever we’re giving out tips, we always looks for Best Odds Guaranteed as it gives you cracking value, but what exactly does it mean?

Well, of course, FRT are here to help you with any queries you might have, so here’s exactly what we mean when we tell you a horse has Best Odds Guaranteed.

It’s pretty simple really; bookmakers that have BOG will are making sure you get the best odds possible.

Let’s say you back a horse at 7/1 on the morning of a race, but it drifts in the betting and goes off with a starting price of 10/1. If you’re with a bookie that have BOG, you’ll get 10/1, as they are the best odds.

If the horse were to be backed into 3/1, you’d get 7/1. Basically, you get the highest odds possible, whether that’s when you backed it before the race, or the SP. You’re never left feeling hard done by as you’re always getting the best value possible.

We’ve had Premium Tips in the past that have been around 7/4 in the morning and then gone off at 11/4 and because we’d told our punters to go with a bookmaker that offers Best Odds Guaranteed, it was a great day for everyone (except the bookies).

So, which bookies will give you Best Odds Guaranteed?

  • Bet365
  • Boylesports
  • Betfred
  • BetVictor
  • Paddy Power
  • StanJames
  • Ladbrokes
  • Coral
  • William Hill

It is worth noting that this only usually applies to British and Irish racing, so if you’re placing a bet on a race abroad, you might want to check with your bookmaker whether they are offering BOG.

So, make sure you’re getting the best value from those bookies and always have a little look to make sure you are getting Best Odds Guaranteed.
